Our current read-aloud

We're studying ancient history this year, and our current read-aloud is Tales of Ancient Egypt, by Roger Lancelyn Green. Egyptian gods, magic, good stuff.

Story time is my favorite part of our school day because I get to sit down and read. And the kids are required to be quiet.

Meet Little Miss

My baby! Precious, perfect, adorable little one year old pooh-bear.
Favorite food: breastmilk, followed closely by anything anyone is eating
Favorite book: Sheep in a Jeep
Favorite school subject: drawing on the chalkboard
Favorite activity: talking. One of her newest words is SUNSHINE!
This sweet little surprise has made our days (and nights) a lot busier, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Meet E-Man

Eight year old Lego enthusiast, video game connoisseur, loving big brother.
Favorite color: black
Favorite activity: legos!
Favorite school subject: Latin
Favorite animal: turtle
Favorite literary series: Hank the Cowdog

This handsome devil hauls the empty trash can from the road, does laundry, cleans the bathroom, and does dishes... all without an attitude! What more could a mom ask for?

Absolutely gorgeous. Ten years old and full of sweetness, this little lady is in the running for best baby-sitter of all time!

Favorite place: outside, of course!
Favorite school subject: science

A friend of the family once described her as an old soul... so true...
