Gem brought the kids a gingerbread house kit!

Here it is under construction.

And here's the finished product.

Yummy!

What's that sound?

It's a language explosion!

Seemingly overnight, Little Miss's vocabulary has gone from a handful of words to an endless stream of verbiage.

Here's a small sample:

mommy daddy

eye nose mouth ear hair feet

food cereal milk

chalk car bye-bye outside

need mommy need milk

tea chai-chai

cow doggy duckies

bon-bon clyde
NO!

Duck Duty

These are our ducks: Daisy, Jesus, and Quacker.
In case you didn't know, ducks make a lot of "duty," and someone's gotta clean it up.

Here's Moops in the midst of cleaning up the duck house. She shovels out all the old bedding and replaces it with fresh, dry pine straw.

Notice Bonnie in the window. Now there's someone who would love to have 5 minutes alone in the duck house!

Don't forget to scrub the water bowls, Moops. Those ducks have no absolutely no regard for the cleanliness of their bowls.
Can you tell this is one of her favorite activities?

Yup, Duck Duty is hard work. But it has its rewards: Jesus lets his MommyDuck pick him up, Daisy "flies" around the yard chasing his MommyDuck, and Quacker has started laying eggs!

Pathetic

just pathetic. I can take a better picture than this. Really, I can.

I took 3 pictures of the kiddos and their little cousin right before we went trick or treating. Sadly, this is the best one.
From left to right, we've got: a pregnant lady, a scarecrow, a wild child, an angel, and a soldier.

The pictures may have been a flop, but the kids had a great time going door to door with their aunt, uncle, and adorable little roly-poly-scarecrow-cousin.

Dancin'

Little Miss loves to dance. She dances to Daddy's guitar playin', Elvis Christmas songs, reggae, the music on tv commercials...
When she hears a tune, her feet start stompin' and her little butt starts swingin', she just can't help it.

That's a picture of Little Miss dancin' to The Elements. It's one of her favorite songs, she likes it so much that she grabs the mouse when it's over and tries to make it play again!
